HydraFacial MD in Pleasanton
In short
Cleansing, gentle exfoliation, extraction and hydration in one pass, using suction and serum rather than manual squeezing.
There is no recovery and no risk period, which is why it is the treatment people book before an event or keep monthly. It maintains skin rather than changing its structure.
What it is for
Congestion, dullness and dehydration. It clears what is sitting in the pores and puts hydration back in the same visit, which is why skin looks better walking out rather than a week later.
Monthly is where it does its best work. As a one-off before an event it is reliable and safe, and it will not change anything structural.
The scalp treatment
The same principle applied to the scalp, clearing build-up around the follicles and delivering a serum afterwards. It is usually chosen by people dealing with flaking or general scalp condition.
It is a scalp health treatment. It is not a hair loss treatment, and we would not present it as one.
When we would choose something else
If the concern is pigment, texture or laxity, this maintains skin rather than treating those, and a peel, laser or tightening treatment is the relevant conversation.
Active infection, open lesions and severe inflammatory acne are reasons to postpone.
Common questions
How often should I have a HydraFacial?
Monthly suits most people. It is a maintenance treatment, so a regular rhythm does more than occasional visits.
Is there any downtime?
None. Skin can look slightly flushed for an hour, and makeup goes straight back on.
Does the scalp treatment help hair loss?
It treats scalp condition and build-up around the follicles. It is not a hair loss treatment and we would not recommend it as one.
