Laser hair removal should never be one-size-fits-all
Laser hair removal targets melanin in the follicle, but melanin also sits in the surrounding skin. In deeper skin tones that margin narrows, and a wavelength strongly absorbed by melanin can heat the skin as readily as the hair. That is where burns and pigmentation changes come from.
The 755nm is highly effective on lighter skin and finer hair. The 1064nm passes more safely through melanin-rich skin, which is why it is the standard choice for Fitzpatrick IV to VI. Having both means we set for your skin rather than deciding whether you are a candidate.
Consistency across the treatment area
Clarity II uses a tracking system that maintains even spacing as the handpiece moves, rather than relying on manual stamping. Fewer missed patches, and fewer areas treated twice. Cryogen cooling protects the skin surface during each pulse, with no gels involved.

When we would choose something else
Very light, grey or white hair contains too little melanin for any laser to target reliably, whatever your skin tone. Recent sun exposure, some photosensitising medications and pregnancy are reasons to postpone.

How many laser hair removal sessions will I need?
Hair grows in cycles and only actively growing follicles respond, so a course is needed rather than a single session. The number depends on the area, your hair and your hormones, and is estimated at consultation.
Can Clarity II treat leg veins?
Yes. The same platform treats selected vascular concerns including leg veins and broken capillaries, using the same two wavelengths at different settings.
